Sony's blatant lie and the ridiculous PS Plus Price Hike. It's time to cancel our subscriptions! 🛑🤬

I am absolutely furious right now, and we all should be. Sony has crossed all limits of greed.
Look at what they tweeted just a few days ago regarding the price hike:
Starting May 20, PlayStation Plus prices for new customers will increase in select regions. Due to ongoing market conditions, prices will start at $10.99 USD / €9.99 EUR / £7.99 GBP for 1-month subscriptions and $27.99 USD / €27.99 EUR / £21.99 GBP for 3-month subscriptions. This price change does not apply to current subscribers (except in Turkey and India) unless the existing subscription changes or lapses.
The Big Lie 🤥
Notice how sneaky they were? In their official tweet, they only mentioned the 1-month and 3-month ESSENTIAL plans getting a hike. They made it look like it’s just a small adjustment for short-term plans.
But guess what? Now that the updates are live, they have silently hiked the prices for EVERY SINGLE PLAN across Essential, Extra, and Deluxe tiers! 12-month plans are hit, Deluxe is hit, everything is costlier. Especially for us in India, they are squeezing every last rupee out of our pockets, and even existing subscribers are getting forced into these new rates upon renewal.
Paying Twice to Play Online? This is Scam Behavior 💸
Let’s talk about the absolute scam that is the online multiplayer paywall. Why on earth do we need a PS Plus subscription just to play online multiplayer?
We buy a console worth ₹50k+.
We buy the actual game for ₹5,000+.
We pay for our own high-speed Wi-Fi/Internet bill every month.
Then why the hell are we paying Sony extra money just to use our own internet to connect to the game servers? Sony isn't even hosting the servers for third-party games! At this rate, with their "ongoing market conditions" excuse, they will start charging us a subscription fee just to turn on our damn PlayStation console. It's ridiculous.
Time to Strike Back: CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION 🚫
We cannot let Sony get away with this blatant high-handedness and corporate greed. They think console gamers have no choice and will just keep paying quietly.
I request every gamer reading this: Please CANCEL your PS Plus auto-renewal right now.
Let their subscriber numbers drop hard. If we don’t vote with our wallets today, they will keep raising prices every few months while giving us absolutely nothing in return.
Stop funding their greed. Vote with your wallet. Cancel PS Plus!
