Unknown 90s/early-2000s club track from my deceased father’s family video footage on MiniDV tapes
I’m trying to identify a song that appears in an old family video filmed by my father around 2002/2003 in France. Sadly he passed away years ago, so I can’t ask him where it came from.
All I know is that he used to listen to a LOT of 90s / early 2000s club compilations and mixtapes on CD and cassette. This track was playing in the background of the video and I’ve been trying for years to find it again because I heard it constantly as a kid.
I extracted and cleaned the audio in Ableton, removed most of the voices/conversation over it, and already tried every recognition app I could find (Shazam, AHA Music, SoundHound, etc.) with no success.
I’m posting the original and looped recording here in the hope that someone recognizes it. Even a lead about a compilation series, DJ set, label, or genre would help a lot.
