at my school yesterday the teachers searched a few kid’s packpacks with ZERO reason for suspicion. they took their phones out their bags despite the rules stating clearly that we are allowed to have them in our backpacks. (keep in mind like half my class keeps their phones in their bag, yet only 3 were searched???)on top of this, the students were not told that their phones were taken and instead found out because another kid saw the teachers digging through their bags.. nowhere in the school handbook does it say teachers or faculty are allowed to search students backpacks. so, is this not,like…illegal?
