*** SOLVED ***

Hi there,

I've put my website into GitHub which I have linked to CloudFlare to host, the domain is from 123 Reg.

If I put mydomain.co.uk into the browser, the site loads, however www.mydomain.co.uk comes up with error 522.

I've tried adding www.mydomain.co.uk as a route / domain and I get the following message "No zones match www.mydomain.co.uk. If you already own this domain and want to connect it to your Worker, start by adding the domain to Cloudflare."

Any ideas?

I plan to host my own website, using Proxmox, to cut costs but to also learn more about hosting / labbing etc...

The main thing I want to make sure of is that I'm fully secure and not exposing my server to the internet.

I have a Virgin Media home ISP router and a Dell R210 II running Proxmox.

I'm planning to run OPNsense as a VM in Proxmox behind my Virgin router (double NAT, since the Hub still needs to serve my home devices), with a Debian VM running Docker in an isolated DMZ for the website container, exposed via Cloudflare Tunnel rather than port forwarding.

Does this sound like a solid plan? Are there any risks that come with this? Is there anything you would do differently?

*** UPDATE *** Thanks to everyone for your responses. I think it would be safer if I considered another option for now. I think I might upload the HTML code to GitHub and then use CloudFlare.
