8GPM plumbing nightmare
I’ve been in the business part time for about 4 years using my 12v/proportioner and my 4gpm machine that I would hook up straight to my clients hose. This year we decided to step it up to an 8GPM machine and I am having a hell of a time keeping air out of the pump from my buffer tank. My main problem is the small amount of space in my truck bed that has forced me to innovate the plumbing in order to be able to close the tailgate and the rack that my pump sits above the intake hose. I currently have a 1.5in bulkhead at the base of my water tank that tapers down to 1in. I have a 3 way splitter to force water into the line after the tank is full and another 1in cam lock to remove the hose (so I can close my tailgate). I have spent hundreds and countless hours replumbing and trying different things and nothing is stopping this air from getting in the hose when the machine is on. Hoping someone can offer some insight…
