Okay, I’m being sassy so I’ll own it.
I saw a really cool neon nine tails kit. It has arrived. I have questions lol
Namely - how can I identify legitimate, honest-to-goodness DMC floss from some other, cheap, knockoff brand (and, more importantly, knockoff imitation fiber makeup)?
The kit came with the strands tied to cardboard tags with numbers printed. So, for example, all the black thread tags say 310 (a DMC color I know off hand). The other colors seem to match their respective DMC, but I feel like I don’t want to put all the work in for substandard floss that may age poorly or look crappy.
We will not discuss the quality of the Aida it came with, nor the quality of the pattern itself.
I will learn my lesson for sure, BUT if I can prove this is at least real DMC, I’ll buy better Aida and make this work.
