I have a 10-inch Celestron Dobsonian, and I’m noticing what feels like some slack or play in the movement. Even when I tighten the tension knobs down pretty hard, I can still move the scope slightly with one finger before it fully starts moving in that direction. It’s almost like there’s a little “lag” or dead zone before the mount engages.

Is this normal for Dobsonians, or does it sound like something needs adjustment?

I'm not sure how to describe this but I have a 10 inch Celestine StarSense stop sign in and wait. Wait I found that I can put my finger on the telescope and barely move it and it will move and then when I really wanna push down it like it's almost like slack as been taken up and the real movement of the telescope begins if that makes any sense what could be the issue? Because when I've said it on a target, even if I really crank down on the tension knobs, there will be a little bit of play in there, but that was not the case when I first bought the telescope.
