Hey everyone, I’m really stressed and could use some insight.
I applied for my TRV (inside Canada) on Feb 17. My best friend is getting married in Colombia on May 2, and since processing times were around 18 days back then, I thought I’d have plenty of time.
But there were no updates for weeks and I had basically lost hope.
Then on April 13, I finally got my PPR. I sent my passport the same day via Canada Post Xpresspost. It was supposed to be delivered April 15 but got delayed and was only delivered at 8:20 AM on April 16 (Ottawa).
After that:
Apr 24 → Counterfoil showed up
Apr 27 (Mon) → No tracking
Today (Apr 28) → Still no tracking
At this point, if I get tracking today, I could realistically receive my passport by April 30 and still catch my May 1 flight from BC.
But it’s getting really stressful — it’s already around 7:20 PM in Ottawa time and nothing yet.
For those who’ve been through this:
How late have you seen tracking activate after counterfoil?
Is it still realistic to expect it to show up tonight?
Or am I likely looking at a Wednesday shipment now?
Would really appreciate any recent experiences, especially from Ottawa CPC.
