Dial VS buttons

Hi All

I'm looking to purchase a new IP, I have had my duo for around 7 years and broke the lid it the other day, I know I could just get a replacement lid but I like the look of the newer ones.

Anyway just wondering if the dial on the new IPs (particularly looking at the Plus version) is better/worse compared to having to press the arrows on a button/touch screen ?

Just asking as I'm also looking at the XL version as we are a family of 5, but that doesn't have the dial which I really liked the idea of and there are no handles for the inner pot on the XL.

We have been surviving fine with the 5.7L but the 7.1L would be handy as I make a lot of soups and stews etc. and batch cooking. Also I like the idea of having a larger surface area to cook/saute on.

Any input appreciated! TYIA xx
