Hi, I’m looking for a TV for myself. Currently I have an LG CX 55", and I mainly play games on PC/PS5. I often use YouTube, and on weekends I watch movies and TV series. I sit at a distance of about 1.6–1.8 m depending on my position.
I ordered an LG G5 65" on sale — the picture was much better, but I was really bothered by the graininess in dark scenes, and I could notice strange lines — probably coming from LG’s algorithm. I returned it.
I’m looking for something else. I was thinking about the upcoming Samsung SH95h or LG G6, if those “artifacts” are gone. On the other hand, I’m wondering if the grain effect was more visible because of the larger screen?
On my LG CX I don’t see any grain or banding from any distance.
Has anyone used the current Samsung S95F? Or the newest SH95h? Or can G6 users comment on grain issues?
Maybe you have some suggestions for other models? Or maybe I should stick with 55"? Although both me and my girlfriend like the cinematic experience of a 65".
PS. I need OLED :):)
Thanks!
