As I was about to put this pre potted dahlia in my flower bed, half of the soil fell off and I saw those tiny white bumps on the tubers.
Now could this be Gall or just new roots forming? It’s a Pacific Time and has multiple shoots that are still tiny.
This Jowey Winnie came to me and as you can see it has two old dry stems and shoots around it . It seems to be specs of clusters of shoots. Now I’m wondering if it is gall.
I have it in a bag inside and the plant developed new shoots forming from each cluster as it seems, even one part where it grows multiple red buds. They seem to be growing too tight together and now I’m torn between thinking it’s because it’s two clumps in one or because it’s gall.
