Busted my ass for four years to get my A1C down to a safe range for surgery (Type 1 Diabetes) and after four cancelled dates, it finally happened on April 3rd!!!
I'm pretty beefy, so my silliest fear was having "chicken chest" post-op lol... I didn't have a big chest to begin with (she didn't even remove a pound of tissue) but you never know.
Proud to say that I am *not* completely flat and I'm stoked at the results! Obviously there's still some swelling, but not much! I've been working so hard for so long to get here that I didn't really experience the relief and euphoria upon waking up, but it's finally hitting a month later :)
HIGHLY recommend Dr. Jacqueline Israel and her team at UW if you're in the Madison WI area. She really seems to care and I couldn't be happier with her work.
One more week until I can get back to work and sports and get even bigger 😂
