So... I found the top latch was not catching the bottom part of the latch. (I would have to really press down on the handle to get it to close)

Upon inspection, I discovered the bottom metal ring around the base of the Joe was sliding down. There looks to be a felt between the metal and the ceramic that has worn away. The metal ring directly against the ceramic would provide enough friction, enabling the metal to slide down (creating too much distance for the latch to catch itself.)

Has anyone else experienced this? Does Kamado Joe make a replacement felt? Should I just go to a fabric store myself?

Any other solutions out there?
