Piano beginner looking for encouragement/advice
Hi!
I'm a musician of around 15 years (I'm mostly a trombonist), but a (pretty much, I did some basic piano instruction in college like 7ish years ago) total beginner when it comes to piano. Making music has largely been something that's been absent from my life for the last couple of years as life has, well, life'd... But, now that my passion for music has rekindled, and I have the time for it again, I, sort of on a whim, ordered a Roland FP-10 and it arrives today! I have a spot set up for it in my bedroom and everything. I don't have super high expectations of myself, I really just wanna learn some of my favorite songs on it to the point that I can go sing and play at an open mic night, as there's many around me.
If anyone has any advice or even just encouragement, I'm all ears. Thank y'all! <3
