Hello everyone. I recently got a postdoc offer at Denmark and subsequently applied for a visa. I finally received my visa today but the visa is only valid for 180 days from the date of entry while my residence permit is till 2028.

How does that work? Will I need to return to my home country in December and apply for a new visa or Can I apply for an extension from Denmark? Since my residence permit is only expiring in 2028 can I stay and work in the country legally even after my visa expires in December 2026?
