Recently spent time in Palo Alto, Mountainview, Stanford, and Capitola - and noticed a distinct difference in cocktails compared to L.A., San Francisco, or the Central Coast. Every place we went (some cheap, some high end), the cocktails tasted like juice and had little to no effect. Friends continually commented that they were watered down, and I had to agree. Is this a thing? A lot of places also stopped serving alcohol at 10pm. I’ve not run into this anywhere else across the states but have to admit it was disappointing to spend $20 for what was essentially punch. Anyone know?
