Hey everyone,
This is my first attempt at a planted aquascape using the Dry Start Method (DSM). I’m going for a simple layout with a central rock and a Monte Carlo carpet.
I planted small portions across the substrate to encourage faster carpeting, and I’m currently keeping the tank humid with plastic wrap and running the light about 6–8 hours a day.
I’d really appreciate any feedback on:
The layout and rock positioning
Plant distribution (too dense or too sparse?)
Whether the Monte Carlo will carpet well like this
Anything I should fix before flooding
I’m planning to eventually add some red stem plants in the background once the carpet is established.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
