Issues with Renogy - buyer beware
I purchased 2x 30W panels online for 109.99 (AUD) each or 219.99 for the pair plus $4.69 Seel insurance (of questionable value). It turns out these panels are a discontinued and out of stock item only after I open a case to find out why my order had not been shipped. The offer to replace the order with a single 100W ($206.99) was settled and I asked for a refund on the balance between the two orders. Renogy's support response was first that the replacement is a more expensive item then some twisted nonsense about $4.69 being tax (GST is included in AU prices). It is basic math 219.98-206.99. Send the 100W panels plus the $12.99, but they are absolutely determined to hang onto that money.
Now I am pursuing a refund that I expect in a timely manner so I can move on... or a charge back as last resort and is probably more likely.
There are many many happy renogy customers, but buyer beware. I have since found multiple complaints similar to mine. If something goes wrong the company will run the customer around in circles.
