Hi everyone, just wanted to get some advice.

I’m an ECE graduate and my first job was as an OSP engineer for telecom contractors ng big 3. I resigned back in 2021 mainly due to personal reasons—sobrang madalas kasi akong nasa field and I missed a lot of important events (family birthdays, etc.). Narealize ko that time na mas importante sa akin yung work-life balance.

After that, I was unemployed for around 8 months and tried applying sa IT companies since mas marami silang WFH setup. Eventually, I landed a job kahit wala akong background sa SAP at all. Fast forward to today, I’m now an SAP FICO Functional Consultant for 3 years and got promoted once.

Honestly, I enjoy the work and super big deal for me yung full WFH setup. Also, kahit wala akong accounting background, na-enjoy ko rin siya matutunan along the way.

My concern now is compensation. After 3 years, parang hindi ganun kalaki yung salary growth ko. I’m nearing my 30s and I want to grow more financially—help more sa bahay, start saving seriously, and plan for future (proposal/marriage, etc.).

Now I’m thinking of resigning and looking for better opportunities, hopefully with a higher salary.

Questions:

  • Is it the right time for me to move after 3 years in SAP FICO? (May mga certificates akong nakuha sa SAP rin and no lock-ups naman na terms with the company)
  • Kaya ba makakuha ng significantly higher offer given my experience? if so may ranges ba of expectation hahaha sorry nahihiya talaga ako sa part na 'to always eh.
  • May suggested companies or workplaces kayo for this role?

Would really appreciate any advice, especially from fellow SAP consultants
