Billing BCBS- questions for facilities
Hi everyone! I am a Spravato Coordinator and as many of you know, there have been a lot of changes with coding that is accepted by insurances.
Without informing our office, BCBS has changed all Spravato PAs to J0013 and cancelled the PAs with G2083 G2082. This is the coding that I have used for the last three years. Because of this, I am not incredibly familiar on the processes with the J0013 coding.
Any facilities having similar issues? What have you done to make sure your patients don’t have delays in treatment during the transition? How are you utilizing the J0013 because of course, when you call the insurance directly, they have no info or understanding to give. It seems so wrong that they can just change it without notifying us, but that’s insurance I guess.
