Did anyone else notice this bullish news about Rev8?
I was doing some research on drone stocks and AXON today. I thought AXON and OUST seemed like pretty complementary businesses, so I asked Claude if they had been working together on anything. Claude said no, but I stumbled across the name Skydio, they make the drones for AXON. I hadn’t heard much about Skydio since they’re a private company, but apparently they’re the largest US-based drone manufacturer. Long story short, I found out that Skydio is one of the Ouster Rev8 early adopters. This news alluded me since I didn’t know Skydio was such a large drone manufacturer.
I think this is very bullish. Ouster Rev8 is already being adopted into NVIDIA, Google, Volvo, and Skydio products. The stars are aligning for Ouster to become a critical component of the robotics wave, self driving cars, smart cities, military drones, and the inevitable surveillance infrastructure of cities across the USA. I see a future where Axon drones have Ouster lidar on them and are connected to Ouster BlueCity in every major city in the USA. This would make evading police virtually impossible, drones would be able to see you from anywhere.
This is just one example of the dozens of potential future use cases Ouster has. Their future is so bright. Anyone selling today is going to regret it in a few years.
(Disclaimer: I’m not a fan of the impending surveillance state of cities in the USA, but I believe it’s an inevitability, so you might as well profit off of it, because Ouster lidar will be in every major city.)
