priv high school to ivy?

how much of an impact do priv schools have on whether or not u get into an ivy? by private schools i mean those that regularly send students to really good schools. are those schools feeders or are the students just working really hard?

honestly based on my current path im probably gonna go into an office job. i was js wondering if office jobs feel repetitive and boring.

would it be worth it to js switch careers to smthing not office job related? idk how realisitc that would be tho

i keep seeing people on reddit get rejected from summer research programs even though they have great stats. like for example they already have research experience and stuff...

atp what kind of ppl do these summer research programs even accept??

hi guys!

i recently got offered to do background research for an associate prof. ik that that is a pretty intro level role. (if im correct)

i also got offered from a different assistant prof that she could connect me to a grad student or another professor, and wants to help me get results (so probably more than js background research?)

what would be best for me? like which is considered more prestigious/better in a way? should i choose the second option? the second option is not clear yet because i am still talking to that professor, and we are deciding some stuff and yeah.
