Hi UC warriors
I am feeling very very low . Writing this while lying in my bed and feeling hopeless. I got the flare in November 2025 and since trying mesalizine and enemas and supps and steroid foams and since 5 weeks having buedsonide oral tabs which tools two weeks to kick in and I thought everything is going okay and symptoms did get better for a week and then it started again now my symptoms are getting bad and I am in pain both physically and mentally. I have an appointment in weeks time and Ibd nurses asking me to continue on the same medication even though it’s not helping. I think next step will be prednisone and I am terrified.
What is the shortest course I will be put on. Is it really bad ? Can I have some positive success stories with pred in terms of side effects.
