I am a type1, and I just had a battle with insurance tgst my wonderful endo office was goid enough to get ut finalized for me. My insurance has nit been paying fir dexcom fir a few years now, so I pay out of pocket. I do use a dexcom coupon, which makes it close to $200 a month. I have been sinkin in co-pays, so when I found sensor could be covered if I get a prior auth. Once I fought and my endo and his nurse fought, insurance will now pay(that was a whole other story to get a prior auth). Today I called my pharmacist to dexcon, and it is almost $400 with insurance, cause I have a high deductible. I cant use the coupon with insurance. I feel like I have to switch to something affordable, but once I tried Libre 3 a d it left a big black and blue mark on my arm fir 2 weeks. I also read, Libre might be linked to deaths cause it is not great being in close range of where you really are with your sugar. Is there something else type 1s use that can be affordable and give me the right blood sugar?
