Is there any reason I can't set up bathtub drain like this?

Is there any reason I can't set up bathtub drain like this?

Tore out old bathroom in the basement for a DIY project. Let's just say things wete not exactly to code. The old bathtub was grungy so decided to swap it out while I was at it and discovered the drain in the concrete floor didnt line up well with the bath drain/ overflow. So of course the previous home owner decided to just kind of let it hang over the concrete slab, which they carved a slope into towards the drain. So as you can imagine the wall was rotted out from some water not finding its way into the hole.

Now that I am installing the new tub I have run into the same problem. I bought a flex hose drain but the drain hole is still located under the bath and as such I can't have the sanitary tee facing in its usual orientation. Is there any issue with orienting it as I have in the pics attached? Any cautions or advice you guys have for me?

Thanks in advance.
