Can you apply and match into residency during your last year (internship year) that is a part of the medical school years curriculum?

Hi, i am currently in my 6th and final year, which is my compulsory internship year. I finished my theoretical and clinical years by the end of the 5th year ans the 6th year is only internship. My graduation will be in july 2027 so i would graduate medical school and finish my internship. Am i elligble to apply for this cycle ,

can you do the emree in the 2026-2027 cycle and apply to residency in 2028 ? can u do it and apply to residency a year or 2 after?

hi, i heard the emree score is valid for 2 years. Does that mean i can for example take it in december 2026 and apply to the residency that starts in september 2028? and does it affect our acceptance?
