If I finally made it to lv 83 and went to Kaiji. I am doing the mission where you have to catch a big fish using bottom rods. I have the best freshwater bottom rods that I have been using for Niles, Tigerfish, and big cats in the Congo, but for some reason, the reels are just melting in Kaiji. They never did this in the Congo. No, I am not max dragging either. In fact, I have lowered the drag up to three settings below max, and they still melt. One 150 lb fish can burn 25% or more. A 200+ lb fish can burn up to 50%. I have bought the extra heavy freshwater reels with 99 lbs of drag friction and put those on the bottom rods (86 lb), and they are still melting, even though they are way stronger than the rod and the line. Makes no sense.

I generally just by the longer-sized leader and have never had an issue, but I am just curious if it actually makes any difference? I mean, since the devs do offer different lengths, it would seem that there might be a reason. I have just never noticed any.
