Window a/c install

Put in a 5000 btu window a/c today. It's an older unit that I just cleaned, but feels more like 4000 btu so more than likely I'll swap it for a brand new 6000 btu Noma digital unit. Will see what the temp is inside after a few hours with the blinds down.

Portable inverter generator fuel question.

I have a portable genny and up here in Canada we only have ethanol mixed fuel and that's what's been sitting in my unit over the winter and while the unit still runs I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to drain out the older gas and put it in my work truck and toss in 2 litres of VP 4 cycle ethanol/oil free gasoline and run the genny on high load for an hour or two then go back to regular gas.

Would the ethanol free gas help clean out the fuel system?

Also for now on before storing the unit for long periods I'll run it dry of regular gas then run a litre of ethanol free gas and run that dry.
