Hey all! First time homeowner. I need to vent my dryer. I’m planning to rent a core drill from Home Depot and get a 4” diameter bit. Under my deck there’s what looks like it was a walk out doorway at one point. It seems like there’s a crack around the outline of where it was.

Can I just drill through that with a small bit first and look in? What’s the safe and smart way to go about this? Thank you!
