stopped applying for a week and got more calls than 2 months of mass applying

honestly placement season is just a parallel degree that nobody warns you about

you're giving mock tests at 11pm, applying to 40 companies on the same portal, not hearing back from any of them and your resume still looks like a google doc from 2021

what helped me: i stopped applying and spent 3 days just making my profile actually visible. built a proper portfolio page, added my projects with descriptions that made sense, and suddenly got 3 shortlists in the same week.

The tool i stumbled on was resumeportfolio.in — not gonna oversell it, it just does what it says it converts your resume into a proper portfolio site. nothing fancy but it does the job. they also have mock interviews and a placement drive simulator for TCS/Infosys type companies if you're preparing for mass recruiters.

not saying it's magic. but having a link to send recruiters instead of a PDF attachment made a real difference in responses.

genuinely curious — anyone else felt like their resume was just disappearing into a void?
