Not a fan of sugaring, need hard wax recommendations

I mostly do facials and brought on sugaring for sensitive skin. I’ve been thinking about switching from sugaring to hard wax because it’s killing my hands 💔 and it takes forever!

Any hard wax suggestions? I recently discovered fruit and chocolate wax, so any feedback from those is highly appreciated!

Does anyone still use rotary brushes?

I have a multi-function steamer that has a variety of rotary brushes, and I'm wondering if anyone uses this in place of microdermabrasion for exfoliation. Or is it just an outdated hand piece? TIA.

What kind of pay structure would entice you to work in a place like this?

I’m a dual therapist currently renting a room inside of a salon. I need to move out because it’s too loud and it affects my services. I found a new independent studio and I will have room for one more therapist.

I am looking to hire a team long-term, so I’m not planning to rent the room to someone. I know that I’ll be responsible for marketing, taxes, supplies, etc. I’m also not fully booked myself, but the new location is a store front and has a lot of foot traffic.

I’m not hiring a receptionist, so the therapist will be responsible for checking in/out the client and retail sales (if applicable). The turnover time is 30 minutes.

What kind of pay structure would entice you to work in a place like this? Or should I hold off on hiring someone and rent the room until I’m more established? Any feedback is appreciated. TIA.

What should I expect when touring a store front suite?

Im looking to move out of a sola salon and into a store front office suite. I’m still growing my clientele, but my current suite is loud and overcrowded for facials. Moving out allows me to extend my business hours, and I can afford the additional costs that come with a store front.

I don’t have a realtor, but I’m touring a place where I directly contacted the landlord. It has high foot traffic and a close community. The zoning allows my business to be there and I’ve also looked into establishment license requirements.

What should I except to present to the landlord? Tax documents? Down payments? Tenant improvement allowance? Should I negotiate for anything specific? Red flags?

Any advice or personal experiences are helpful!
