SAP Organisational Structure
Hi everyone,
I'm practicing on a rented SAP server. I know how to configure Enterprise Structure, but I'm running into an issue because the system already contains existing Company Codes, Plants, Purchasing Orgs, etc.
When I create my own Company Code and start copying/customizing the enterprise structure, I often run into errors. Sometimes I end up accidentally assigning my new Plant to an existing Company Code instead of the one I created.
How do you normally practice creating a complete Enterprise Structure on a rented/shared SAP system? Do you:
Create everything from scratch?
Copy an existing enterprise structure and then rename/change assignments?
Use a specific approach to avoid conflicts with the existing configuration?
I'd like to practice as if I were implementing a new company, but the preconfigured enterprise structure is making it confusing. Any tips or best practices would be appreciated.
