I gave my 3 weeks' notice this morning, and my manager said, "So this was all about the salary?"
Yes. Yes, it was about the salary. I need a bigger salary so I can give a home for my family and put food in the fridge. You weren't giving me that, so I looked and found someone who would.
I've been at the company for 5 years, and if another place wants to pay me a lot more to do different work, I'm going to take the opportunity. I'm not here because "we're all one big family" or because "I've always had a passion for CRM tools and dreamed of spending my life inside one of them." Lol.
Pay me my money, you bastards.

An interview question that threw me off
I had an interview on Teams with six people, and honestly they seemed like a really nice group. The questions were mostly basic and a bit old-fashioned, so I had prepared answers. There's one question that still feels dated to me, which is: where do you see yourself in four years? I understand what they're trying to ask, but I didn't expect the whole world to shut down before those four years were up, so...
But that's a normal interview question. The question that bothered me was: what makes you a stronger candidate than the other people we're talking to? I kind of froze, because how am I supposed to know what every other person is bringing to the table? If you asked me why I'm a stronger candidate than Sarah, I could compare the differences between us. In the end, I said something awkward about how I couldn't judge that because the other candidates might be excellent too. It definitely wasn't my best answer, but it's a bad question imo. Fortunately, it clearly didn't have a major impact, because I have another in-person interview at the end of this week.
Does anyone else get panic attacks or severe anxiety because they can't find a job?
I've been looking for a job for about 10 months, and rejection emails keep piling up. I've only gotten two interviews, and honestly, one of them felt like a complete waste of time.
Lately, I've been getting anxiety and panic attacks while trying to sleep, just from thinking about finding a job and how I'm going to pay my expenses.
