Bioengineering students — would anyone be interested in joining this community?

Hi everyone!
I’m a high school student from Kazakhstan, and over the past few months I’ve had the chance to meet students from many different countries who are interested in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering.
One thing I kept noticing was that after research programs, competitions, or applications ended, everyone just went their separate ways.
So I decided to create BioBridge — a free international Discord community where students can continue learning together.
Originally, BioBridge started as a WhatsApp Community. However, after many international members joined in a short period of time, we ran into technical issues with WhatsApp. Because of that, we’ve now officially moved to Discord, which is much better suited for an international community.
This isn’t meant to replace research programs, labs, or mentorship.
The goal is simply to create a place where students can keep discussing research, asking questions, sharing opportunities, and connecting with others who have similar interests.
Inside the community we currently have dedicated spaces for:
🧬 Research Paper Discussions
📚 Research Opportunities
❓ Questions
🏆 Achievements
💬 General Discussion
Everyone is welcome, including:
• High school students
• Undergraduate students
• Graduate students
• PhD students
• Researchers
• Professors
Whether you’re just getting started or already have research experience, I’d love to have people who are genuinely interested in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering.
If you’re interested, just leave a comment saying “Interested” or send me a DM, and I’ll send you the Discord invitation.
I’d also really appreciate a repost if you know someone who might enjoy being part of this community.
Let’s build something meaningful together. 🌍🧬

Looking for people who interested Biomedical Bio Engineering Research

A lot of us applied to research programs this year—some were accepted, some were waitlisted, and many were rejected.
One thing I realized during the application process is that there isn’t really a place where students interested in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering can stay connected after everything is over.
So I decided to create BioBridge — a small, completely free, student-led WhatsApp community.
The goal isn’t networking for the sake of networking.
It’s simply to:
• discuss research papers,
• share research opportunities,
• ask questions,
• exchange ideas,
• and support each other’s research journeys.
Whether you were accepted to a program, rejected, or you’re just starting to explore research, you’re welcome.
If you’re interested in joining, comment “Interested” below or send me a DM, and I’ll send you the WhatsApp invitation link.
I’d love to build a community of curious students from around the world. 🧬🌍

Looking for people interested in Biomedical Engineering & Bioengineering research

Hi everyone!

I’m Alikhan, a high school student from Kazakhstan 🇰🇿.

Over the past few months, I’ve become deeply interested in Biomedical Engineering and Bioengineering. Right now, I’m focusing on building a strong research foundation by reading papers, learning research methods, exploring different topics, and connecting with people who share similar interests.

One thing I’ve realized is that research becomes much more enjoyable when you have others to discuss ideas with.

I’m thinking about creating a small international study group for students who are genuinely interested in Biomedical Engineering or Bioengineering.

The goal wouldn’t be networking for the sake of networking—it would be to learn together by:

* discussing research papers,
* sharing useful learning resources,
* exchanging research opportunities,
* asking questions,
* and supporting each other throughout our research journey.

The group would stay relatively small so discussions remain active and meaningful.

If you’re also starting your research journey or already have some experience in these fields, I’d be happy to connect.

Feel free to leave a comment or send me a DM if you’re interested.

Looking forward to learning together!
