Applying for SWV from outside UK [Tech Industry]
I am in tech at a senior role and I am considering relocating to London. This won't be an internal transfer or anything. I'm looking for a new role.
I want to understand how common is it to get an employer to sponsor the Skilled Worker Visa when you're not already in London?
A recruiter told me companies would rather transfer an existing visa. It's less risky.
But I read about the process and it seems that switching jobs on SWV is the same as applying for a fresh visa.
Was this simply an excuse from the recruiter or is there a meaningful difference in the two?
