Lost figuring out how to make an ombre!
So I'm very new to nail art! I've barely played with painting my nails before, and I'm still getting the hang of the basics. I've been trying to get a gradient from pink to purple to blue for a while now, but the whole process has been vexxing me and I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Above I've got a clear base coat, nail guard for easier clean up, a layer of pink, and I tried dabbing on a gradient from a make-up sponge like I've seen in tutorials. I think the purple I have is too thin (was the cheapest off the shelf, so I'm not surprised) so its not showing at all. Along with that, even when I think my nails are dry the sponge seems to be sticking to the polish. I'm trying to make sure the sponge is saturated before applying, but its hard to know where too much or too little is.
I'm pretty tight on money at the moment, but if I need better/different materials I can try and pick those up and give it another go. Ty in advance for any advice (and apologies if this is the wrong place for an absolute beginner—everyone's nails here are stunning!)
