Is the tall man living in my house a friend or foe?

I (29f) want to know if my personal beliefs about something can change the way it interacts with me.

My mom was close with her parents despite them being a little mean. They both passed away in 2022 and we have both their urns in our house on our shelf. We also own my grandma's 2 most prized possessions, her grandfather clock and her piano along with some other trinkets. My mom is very sensitive to negative energy and has been feeling like its her parents on the shelf bringing the bad energy into the house and has talked about wanting to get both of their urns out of her house and her old belongings as well.

I was talking to my mom maybe a couple months ago and she told me that she saw someone in the house. She was in her room and saw a tall black figure in a hat poking his head around the corner. She said he wasnt doing anything bad and looked more like he was curious about the house than anything else. I asked her if maybe she thought he was the culprit instead of my grandparents and she said she didnt know. But she told him to shoo and he seemed to go away.

Fast forward a few weeks im talking to her again where she told me the strangest thing had happened. She was talking to my brother (28) (we both live at home with her) and she said she really needed to get grandma out of the house because shes freaking the cats out. My brother told her that it wasnt grandma. It was the tall man in the house. My mom said she had never told anyone but me about seeing him. I asked if she was positive and she said yes. That not only did my brother say hes seen him poking around the corner of doorways but described the hat he was wearing perfectly and even drew it. My mom was in utter shock and now I know there's something in the house. They both say hes just curious and kind of just hangs around. I told them that it probably wasnt a good idea to interact with him and what if hes only pretending to be curious so you invite him and make him feel like hes welcome to stay. They told me they hes fine.

Well one night I came home around 2:30 in the morning from my boyfriends and the minute I stepped into my room I felt a nasty feeling and it made the hairs on my neck stand up. My cat normally comes into my room and gets on my bed but this time he bolted to my closet hissing, then bolted under my desk still hissing and growing and then bolted under my bed. It was freaking me out. The cat jumps out from under my bed and just starts attacking my mirror. Immediately freaked out I put a blanket over my mirror and flip it around. I honestly felt like this was about to be the end of me and I tell him to get the f*** out of my room and that hes not welcome in here. I slept with the lights on.

A couple weeks after that my sister (26) who also lives at home was doing a puzzle and realized that there were a couple pieces missing. We thought the cats must have gotten into the pieces or chewed on them while she was doing it because it took her about a week to finish wnd she did it on the dining room table. My brother and I helped her look but we could not find the peices anywhere. The next morning she texted me while I was at work if I had found the peices and I said no I hadn't. She told me thats strange because my brother hadn't found them either but they were on the table next to the missing space waiting to be put in.

Hes calm with my brother and mother, playful with my sister and he scares the living s*** out of me. Is he friendly with them and mean to me because I dont think he belongs in the house? What are your thoughts.
