I’m done pretending
I’m done pretending like this mutt isn’t irritating tf out of me. My s/o has a rescue shitbull. Due to my living situation, I spend 80% of my time at their place. I cannot with this dog.
Every time I come through the door I’m being trampled & shredded apart by this massive animal. To the point of having permanent scars on my legs. My s/o refuses to cut the dogs nails because “she doesn’t like her nails being cut”. Okay? I don’t like being shredded apart by an 80lb beast.
At night, the dog will lay on the floor next to my side on the bed & snore & rip ass all night keeping me awake until 3am. During the day, she’ll follow us around & do the same shit.
When it’s time for her to go outside she’s, yet again, trampling the fuck out of me. Not only that, but she chokes herself on her own leash leaping down the stairs to be let outside.
The worst part? My s/o loves this dog more than anything (supposedly, you’d think loving your animal would mean training it better… but I guess not). Multiple times a day they’re groping this dog & kissing it on the mouth (right after I’ve just watched her go to town licking her ass), telling this dog it’s “so pretty” & “such a good girl”, etc. Half of the time, I feel like I’m begging for a fraction of affection that their shitbull mutt gets. Anytime we’ve had intimacy the dog is getting right in between us & ruining the moment. It’s gotten to the point that I don’t even bother to attempt any form of affection or intimacy because the dog always has to get involved one way or another.
I’m just so over the idolization of dogs. When did we start yearning for love & affection from animals & not our partners? Is this normal??
