Advice Wanted!
I am going into my sophomore year at Penn State, I am currently living further off campus (taking the bus to school) with two random girls that the apartment office assigned me. They seem nice but I can tell we don’t have much in common and aren’t gonna be BFFs. I also am not going back to school with any close friends or many friends in general. I love to socialize, go out, do anything that involves hanging out with good people and friends. Now I didn’t fail socially my freshman year or anything, I was Best Friends with my roommate and created a little friend group and we hung out almost every day for hours. Long story short, my roommate got really close with them and she couldn’t understand basic respect (Don’t have 4 people over when I’m sleeping at 2 AM, Don’t let your friends leave their trash on my side when they come over, etc) and I found out she infiltrated these conflicts to our group and they started to leave me out and had a different group chat without me in it. No hard feelings but I really want to just find 3 good friends I could live with and go out with and basically just hang out with in general. I can’t rush a sorority or join a million clubs because I do struggle a bit financially and I would be paying all the dues myself along with other financial responsibilities. I can join 3-4 as long as I don’t end up paying more than $500 a school year. Give me some advice to help me out in this situation.
