Can I file a T2 if landlord harassed me after tenancy ended?
My previous landlord is trying to stick smoking damage charges on me. Thing is I dont smoke, plus landlord didn't raise these issues during move out but rather 6 weeks later, when I specifically asked for my rent receipts. He is keeping the rent receipts as hostage saying he won't give me the rent receipts unless I pay for the damages.He keeps harassing me on call and text saying he's gonna find out where I live currently and get me kicked out, contact my place of work and get me fired, he also said "I will teach you a lesson you will never forget". I have obviously blocked him but I need the rent receipts as I have been audited by the CRA. Even if the landlord has suffered damages, I believe the proper Avenue to pursue compensation should be L10 and not what I have been subjected to. I wish to file a T2 but not sure if my case will be accepted as the harassment occured after my tenancy ended.
