Struggle with scaling on the Paper Pro Move

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using the reMarkable Paper Pro for a while now and I absolutely love it. It’s perfect for my studies and professional development alongside my job—the screen size and color support are game-changers for those tasks. However, I’m finding the Pro a bit too bulky to keep on my desk all day for quick notes during calls or for organizing my daily to-dos.

To bridge that gap, I picked up the Paper Pro Move. The form factor of the Move is brilliant and ideal for visiting clients or hopping between meeting rooms. For quick on-the-go notes, the size is exactly what I was looking for, but I am really struggling with the scaling.

When I work on the same notebook across both devices, or view my notes in the macOS desktop app, the formatting looks completely unscaled. Notes written on the Move appear tiny and lost on the larger screen of the Pro or my MacBook. This inconsistency makes it hard to use the devices interchangeably, and I’m honestly considering returning the Move because of it.

I’m now thinking about replacing the Move with the new Paper Pure to use as my primary "Daily Driver." The Pure would stay on my desk for notes between meetings, and since it’s much lighter than the Pro, it should still be very portable for client visits. Most importantly, since the Pure has the standard 10.3" display, I assume the scaling issues would disappear when syncing with the Paper Pro or the desktop app.

I’d love your input:

  • Has anyone else dealt with these scaling issues between the Move and the larger reMarkables?
  • Are there any tips or settings to make notes from the Move look more proportional on larger screens?
  • Does switching from the Move to the Pure as a secondary device make sense, or am I overlooking something?

Looking forward to your experiences and advice.
