Why do so many intermediate players plateau and never break through?
Been playing at open level for a while now in Orange County and lately I've been informally helping a few players in the 3.5 to 5.0 range work on the strategic side of their game. Seems like a lot of players plateau because they're focused on shots but missing the tactical layer entirely.
Anyone else find this is the main thing holding intermediate players back? Curious what others are seeing.
