So I have been applying on wellfound for jobs recently and getting good feedback. One company reached out and scheduled an interview. Turns out this was a staffing firm who would place me with clients. So nothing too much technical just had to explain things about me and my projects. I felt this was weird.

That was last week. Yesterday they said a client is ready to "move forward" with my profile and asked to schedule interview the next day only i.e today. So a guy joins late and starts explaining me things . He has to go on vacation to singpaore and leave his project so he needs someone who can work on it behalf of him. I was like wtf. Then he says there will be no contract and payment(4-5k) will be in crypto. Like bruh what even was that shady shit
