Arthroscopy procedure 9 months post ACLR

Hello, I am a (35) F. I was very active prior to my ACLR back in August 2025. The surgeon used an Allograft to repair the ACL. However, shortly afterward i developed blood clots in my leg that took months to resolve. However, since then my knee has never felt right. I had been in therapy since my surgery and was diligent in doing my exercises. For months I was telling both my surgeon and my PT that something did not feel right. However , they kept reassuring me that it was ok. I finally got a second opinion and went for an Arthroscopy yesterday. The surgeon found the following issues:

Right Knee High-grade Partial tear of the Anterior Cruciate Ligament Allograft

Right Knee Cartilage lesions of the medial Femoral Condyle and Trochlea: stage 4, so essentially my cartilage has deteriorated down to bone.

I have a follow up appointment in a few weeks to go over options. However the surgeon believes my body had an immune response to the Allograft causing it to fail. The doctor is now recommending I have multiple surgeries to remove the graft, plug the tunnels and harvest a cartilage from myself to have it grown in a lab. He mentioned possibly having a
ACI Procedure (Matrix-Induced Autologous Chondrocyte Implantation). As well as replacing my ACL graft.

So I wanted to see if anyone has gone thru this before and if so what the outcome was and how painful is it?

Thank you
