Question about engineering salaries in Campinas

Hey r/Campinas, greetings from your fellow south america neighbour. I'm writing in English as I still don't feel confident enough in my portuguese. Also for privacy reasons, I'm not revealing much info about myself nor the company I'm working for.

I'm an engineer in my early 20s and recently graduated and specialized in a somewhat niche engineering field. I managed to get hired by a company in the field located in Campinas and worked for them as an intern remotely for a couple of months.

After I graduated, they decided to move me into an engineering position, in which I will still be working remotely and earn R$4,000/month. I'm personally fine with that as a starting remote salary, since I’m a recent graduate and only have a few months of experience in this specific area.

However, the company is planning to relocate me to Campinas next year, and they've told me that my salary would naturally be increased to reflect the cost of living of Campinas, but they still haven't revealed me what would the salary be.

So what I'm trying to figure out is: What would be considered a fair and competitive salary for someone in my situation once I relocate to Campinas?

As I don't personally anyone from Brazil, I tried asking Gemini about it and it told me that I should strive for R$7k/month due to it being specialized engineering work, but I know AI can be inaccurate about this, so I'd rather listen to the people here.

I'm mainly trying to understand what salary range I should realistically strive for/negotiate when I relocate. By the time I relocate there I will almost have like 10 months of experience with the company, so would something like R$6–7k be competitive for my situation? Should I be aiming closer to R$7k, or is that unrealistic for a newly graduated engineer with my experience?

Any insights about this would be greatly appreciated!
