Do jobs have to post the salary now?

I just saw a job ad and was happily surprised to see the salary stated, but another one from another company didn't have it stated

What's the story with it?

Iowa and GQ: from one who works in publishing

I’m employed in publishing, I can write and edit (and get paid to do both). Hannah’s trajectory is so accurate, and I’m going with the viewpoint that she’s a very good (not brilliant), very sheltered, young, and insulated, writer.

Watching the Iowa arc atm and her cutting criticism of everyone in her course at the house party had me cracking up.

The other writers at GQ having thrown in the towel to to corporate (although in denial) is spot-on. I know several of that crew, as well as several of the incestuous circle jerk of a relatively popular writing course, where they win small national contests that are judged by their former tutors. After winning, they tout (sell) the course as life-changing and perpetuate the same group of mediocre, sheltered, nice story writers
