How did you get started in Real Estate Photography?
Currently I’m a real estate agent who recently relocated to a completely new market, so business has been slower while I rebuild my network and client base. Over the last few years, I’ve gotten more into creating social media videos for listings and taking supplemental photos for marketing, and I’ve realized I genuinely enjoy the creative side of the industry.
I’m considering offering real estate photography and video services on the side, not as a full-time replacement because I love being an agent, but as a way to supplement my income, stay involved in the industry, and continue building relevant skills while growing my business in a new area.
For those of you who started small, what platforms or websites did you use to share your work and attract clients early on? I’ve seen platforms like Instagram, Vimeo, YouTube, Squarespace, Aryeo, HDPhotoHub, etc., but I’d love to know what people are actually finding useful when they’re just getting started on a smaller scale.
I’d also love to hear from anyone who balances both real estate and photography/video work.
