Solo Cryo is probably one of the best things Ive experienced in Marathon
People have been posting guides about it so this isnt anything new just my own thoughts on it.
Most of it is totally doable minus Compiler and Vault 6 imo, that would require decent luck and you would need to be cracked at the game. Otherwise I feel like the other vaults wouldnt be too terrible, 1 and 2 would be a walk in the park of course.
Right now it has fairly heavy reliance on Assasin (as always) or some kind of invis implant but Id love to see Bungie consider the possibility of tweaking these endgame maps for a true solo experience.
Ratting needs to be done once in a while to avoid teams but if you hit clearance 2 the maps has so many ways for you to duck, weave and escape as a solo. High ground, low ground, vents, cover etc... Its been the most entertaining map to me for those possibilities and it really tests your knowledge for rotations. There is far less opportunity to be caught out in the open and feeling bad because you got sniped while trying to make your way to a POI like in Marsh or Perimeter. The dynamic really changes compared to team play but in a positive way. Its not as daunting as some may believe.
Anyway, thats my thoughts so far. If Bungie really cares about solos this is something they should design around in future endgame maps on the Marathon.
