Rare Pešćenica Flag with an interesting hamsic
The Republic of Peščenica (Republika Peščenica) was a satirical-parodical project of Croatian Željko Malnar named after the Zagreb neighbourhood of Peščenica.
A lot of the inner workings of Peščenica were inherently communist, albeit sometimes parodying communism.
In this photo, a Peščenica "Universal Proletarian" flag is seen, with a red background, a yellow star with a hammer and sickle (And it does look like a rare version of the hamsic I couldnt find anywhere) and the text "Proleteri svih zemalja ujedinite se", meaning "Proletarians of all countries, unite!" in Serbo-Croatian.
The project itself lasted until 2010, however, many people still feel like citizens of this fictional republic.
