Lidar to find a well or outhouse location?

Hi all! I recently discovered there was a full on homestead and working farm on our property. It was built around 1890 and demolished sometime around 1945-1954. 12-13 kids lived here at some point.

I have searched and dug to the point of it being comical. “Mom’s going out to dig holes again.” So far I’ve found tons of cast iron pieces, a bazillion nails and tons of broken glass and pottery. It’s not all in one location. It’s literally everywhere on the east side of the homesite. My hopes of finding a trash hole or filled well have kind of died.

Getting to the point of all this, would a lidar be helpful? I check usgs but nothing shows up other than our current pond and forest in the area. I do an have aerial (1936) I found from historic aerials and I was able to overlap it with the current aerial to get an approximate site for the buildings and house but there isn’t an obvious well.

Ive attached a picture of the aerials for you to check out. I thought he well was on the north east corner of the house or the northern most building was a well house but it appears to not be the case, or I’m off by a decent amount when digging. Let me know your thoughts and how this lidar may or may not be helpful. Thanks!

** The old pond was south of the new one. It was filled and moved sometime around the 1980s due to it being on the fence line and easement issues I believe. Also, the little bump on the left middle of the lidar is a dead horse that’s been covered aka Dead Horse Hill per the neighbors.
